Master "leadership" with 4 skills

A great conversation with a good friend of mine from Nashtech did help me be prepare for the 1st EM role in 2017. I then note it down to 5 skills that did help me to frame my target state of the journey to become a good one

1. Critical thinking

Looking at a problem from more than one perspective. You needs to test the first explanation and understand how the same decision appears to the people affected by it.

2. Problem solving

Turns that assessment into a set of actions, break it down, choose a response, and learn from the result.

3. Communication

Communication includes stakeholder management, know what decision is being made, what remains uncertain, and what you need from them

4. Relationship building

Getting along well enough to work through decisions, some time Agreement is not required, trust is more important as outcome

5. Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence is the people skill behind the other 4. It helps you notice how people are reacting, manage their own response, and adjust the conversation without avoiding the problem.

These are just directions for me to expand and test in practical cases, help me to slow down the decision making and in some case empathy with other personal life not just focus on works
